O' lonely Tree.

Like a deserted creature.

You live only in the past, but not the future.

The description of you can be fit in rhyme,

but you sank in the sands of time.

Despite living with other trees,

you have no leaves.

They are green and beautiful,

but you are dark and dead;

from the toes up to the head.

Having no sisters or brothers.

Hearing the sounds of house sparrows

and hummers that build your sorrows.

Singing the music of your death

which is created by your own myth.
